Party Blogs

I wanted to share this site because Kara's Party ideas are so awesome! When I grow up, I want to be like her...when my blog grows old, it also aspires to have that many crafty ideas to share with you!

It's so easy to make your party unique, it just takes a little inspiration! You can start by adding a DYI banner, I can almost promise you that everyone will take notice of it!

These are a couple pictures from kara's blog!

Card Box

Hosting a part and need a card box? Well here's a crafty and simple idea to use. Of course you can get away with just placing cards on the table......BUT......why not taking it up a notch?

Supplies Needed:
Fabric
Container (Shoe box/hat box)
Spray Glue
Glue Gun
Ribbon

Tags:
Paper (2 different colors)
Double sided tape

IMG_4052

Measure box (My box: 40 inches x 4.5 inches)

Use measurements to trace and cut fabric

Spray glue on box (do a section at a time) and slowly lay fabric over entire box.

IMG_4057

Use the glue gun to glue ribbon border on the bottom and top of box
(as you can see, i was a little sloppy with the cutting part, oops)

Use X-Large Puncher for accents

IMG_4066

Print out the letters you'd like to use
according to the size of the Large Puncher
(sometimes getting the letters just right is trial and error,
but you'll get it)

If you own Print Shop, use small round sticker template!

IMG_4068

Use double sided tape or any adhesive
you prefer to glue tags together

IMG_4069

Use glue gun to glue tags to box
(get creative when adding the tags)

I added some tulle material inside the box,
it just makes it look nice.

(I save my cards, can you tell?)

This is one of my favorites, it was my first birthday as his wife :-)

You can also use box as keepsake box to store
the cards you got at that event!

Congratulations to the Both of You!

What a mess...

I get an ideas so then
i cut
i tape
 i print
i stamp
i glue

and on and on...but I don't LIKE to CLEAN up!
(yes, i eventually do it but doesn't mean I look forward to it)

It's always fun to cook but not to wash the dishes. I wish someone (hint hint) would just walk in the room after I'm done and clean up for me!

keeping up with the mess?

The only tip that I know, which I failed to use last night is:
Once your done using it, put it away!

Happy Birthday Kelly

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Twenty Fifth Birthday,
Haaaaaaaaaaaappy Birthday to YOOOOOOOOOOOOOU!

Today is my good friend, Kelly's birthday...oh I mean Kel's Birthday (inside joke) but we did a little early celebrating yesterday at my house with a few of her closes friends.

We had tons of laughs, great food and just a great time celebrating with Kels! Thank you ladies for coming and for bringing all that good tasting food (had plenty leftovers!),
I truly appreciate you all and so does Kelly.

(I used my new 50mm 1.4 for these pictures, still in love with it)

Coconut Chocolate Chip Spread

1- jar of marshmallow crème

1- 8 oz package of cream cheese

1- 1/4 cups chocolate chips

1- cup toasted coconut

1- box of graham crackers

Turn on the oven to broil. Spread coconut on a baking sheet and toast just until it turns golden brown.

In a large bowl combine marshmallow crème and cream cheese together. Stir in chocolate chips and roll mixture into a ball. Top with toasted coconut. Serve on graham crackers.

Tip: If you combine the marshmallow crème and cream cheese together, this makes an awesome fruit dip.

I got this recipe from my good friend Amanda. She made this dessert for a church potluck about 5 years ago and I never forgot it. This is one of my favorites to make because it’s so
quick and easy!!!
Now you can't say you don’t have time to make a dessert!

Fabric Flower Pins

A couple weeks ago I was stuck at home with a bad cold and nothing to do but rest...that only lasted awhile before i finally decided to try a lay-in-bed-project. At the time I didn't feel like taking pictures (let's blame it on the Sudafed) so yesterday I gave it another try and this time I can share it with y'all!

We're going to call this the
"Fabric Flower Pin" Project.

Supplies Needed:
Strip of Fabric (3 inches x 36 inches)
Thread and Needle
Hot Glue Gun
Fabric Pins
1 Button

I made about 8 flowers that day and gave a few away already.
They are great accents to blazers, purses or as hair accessories!

Have fun creating your own!
