Satin Flowers

Yes I'm still alive and kicking! LOL! To make up for my lack of projects, I've put together two just for you!

Let's get started!

Pick any color of satin material and trace 3-4 circles.

Make each circle half an inch bigger then the next.
Cut the circles out.

Hold the fabric circle over a candle flame
and allow the heat to burn the edges slowly.
(I did this next to the kitchen sink, just in case it caught on fire. LOL)

Your fabric circles should look something like this.

Example of what not to do! LOL!

Now you glue each layer together.

Add some beads.

I made some fabric flowers to attach the satin flowers to.

Now you can do whatever you want with the flowers!

Dress up a candle too!

Project # 2

Dressing up a gift bag

I bought this gift bag  2 for $1.00 and the tissue for $1.99
at Hobby Lobby.

I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Taaa-Daaaa!

I also had to buy a new glue gun...my old one went into a comma and wouldn't melt the glue!

Oh Sew Cute Pillow

Told ya I would be using this phrase again. lol.

This project isn't just Oh Sew Cute...

but it's also Oh Sew Easy to make!

Follow these easy steps to create your own collection of pillows.

Oops, I forgot to take of picture of the stitching I did to close the "gap" I basically sewed it from the outside.

Sorry about my blurry pictures, I didn't notice it until now!

This pillow was made for Tennille with love.

If you need help using your sewing machine, email me and we can do a mini session together! I had someone teach me (Thanks Kristine), now it's my turn to return the favor.

Here's glimpse at the next project I'm already working on...

Happy Birthday Livy

Yesterday the ladies and I met at Olive Garden to celebrate Olivia's Birthday! woo hoo!!!
As always we spent most of the time laughing together and eating, (what's new right?) but we love it and always look forward to the next birthday to do it all over again!

Livy, I hope you had a wonderful time and that you enjoy all your gifts to the fullest! I can't believe it's almost going to be a year since you first moved to Arizona and now your going to be a Mommy. We've made plenty of memories in 2010, now its a new year with new adventures in 2011! (Let's start with changing your bedtime! jk!)

Happy Birthday to YOOOOOU!

Valentine's Day Centerpiece

This is a very simple centerpiece for a dessert table, dinning room table or whatever you want, your the boss! I already owned the vases so I just had to buy the other supplies at Hobby Lobby and used left over decor from my holiday stuff.

The middle one needs a bow, I just noticed that.

Also, I'm very excited how this entry table turned out :-)
