Wedding Invitation Design

Designing is probably one of my greatest passions (right below photography) and designing a wedding invitation is like heaven to me! I absolutely enjoy putting the pieces together to create what the bride had envisioned.

My friend, the bride, already had the idea in mind, the colors and theme so that made my job a lot easier. I really love the way they turned out.

Happy Birthday!

Through the years he's brought so much laughter & joy to our family. He's got a charming personality and is very caring. I'm so glad we've had the chance to be a big part of his life and watch him grow into the little man he is today.

* I'll never forget when he first told on someone, He claimed that he was sleeping on Chris's bed and fall off. He couldn't say full sentences so he basically acted it out for us using the few words he did know.

* I'll never forget when I would ask him what he did that day and he'd use the few words he knew at age 2.5 "Sleep, I eat, mommy eat, play with my toys" the end. What a life!

* I'll never forget when he would play with a little car from Lawrence's game room and after leaving to Texas for 3 months, he came to our house, straight passed us and to Lawrence's game room and grabbed the car. That's when I knew he had a great memory!

* I'll never forget when he couldn't quite say both of our names so I told him to call us Yaya and Nana (we both had nick names growing up) and he has called us that ever since then. (Once again, he never forgot)

* I'll never forget when we were listening to Adventures in Odyssey together and the first part always says "Hi, this is Chris! Welcome to Adventures in Odyssey!" Mikey looks at me and says "That's not Qwiss (chris)" LOL, Apparently he thought there was only one Chris in this world.

* I'll never forget when he had a complete conversation with me and could explain and tell me everything he did throughout the day. That's when I realized he really wasn't a baby anymore. (sad moment)

* I'll never forget when he learned to call people on his own using his mom's cell phone. He called me all by himself. I wasn't expecting to hear his voice when I answered but I was so excited to talk to him.

* I'll never forget when he was in love with gum and we could bribe him to do anything for a stick of gum. Then he got upgraded to a pack of gum and carried his own around to share with everyone.

Celebrating his 5th birthday with Mariachi's in San Diego!
Now your really a big boy and you are going to start Kindergarten soon. This makes me so happy because you're going to learn so much in this next year! Happy Birthday Moo! Nana and Yaya Love you so much!!!!

Wedding Progress.

It looks like my house has been invaded by Chelsie and Cody's wedding! We've been working on the invitations this week and they have turned into a complete do it yourself project. (Which is awesome to me.)

We've cut each invitation folder (I wasn't sure what else to refer them to) one by one using my Cameo Silhouette. I designed the invite insert and printed them, while Mary carefully cut all 125 of the.

We dyed the white lace to yellow, dried it and cut those into 125 pieces and glued them to the invitation folders. Chels cut 125 pieces of silver ribbon with the help of her fiance.

One more day and we should have it all together, woo hoo!

My Favorite!

Several years ago I was walking through Barnes and Noble looking for a book that would catch my attention. Up to that point I didn't have any interest in reading for "fun" but I had a strong desire to do so, kinda random but I just felt that it would be good for me. The most reading I had ever done was when I join the Baby-sitters Club back in third grade, after that I thought my calling had to be to start a club of my own.

Needless to say, there was never a successful club, not that I didn't try. Fast forward to my walk through Barnes and Noble, I found a book that caught my total attention. You know that saying “Don't judge a book by its cover" and how growing up teacher's are always trying to instill that in us? Well I totally picked up "My Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picoult because of the cover.

I fell in love with this book and finishes it in one week. I remember staying up really late just to finish the next chapter. From then on I was hooked to reading for what I call "fun" and since then I have bought many many of her books and read almost all of them.

Last week my mom text me that Jodi Picoult was going to be in Mesa! I was so excited so I went online and found more information on the event. I knew I couldn't make it but they had a special deal, you could buy the book over the phone and they would have Jodi Picoult sign it for you!!!! I couldn't pass up that offer, so last week I got a special package in the mail. I gently ripped the packaging open, lo and behold there was the book!!!

This is Jodi's daughter's autograph, she wrote this book with her mom.

"Adrienne Enjoy, Jodi Picoult"

Hello :)

Update
I just wanted to thank everyone who have been praying for Tennille and Leonor. God has been so good to the Flores family. On Sunday they released Tennille from the hospital and is doing well already, now it's just a matter of waiting for her broken bones to heal. Leonor has been moved out of ICU, she's awake with no breathing tube, talking and laughing with her family. For the past week since the accident we have heard so many visitors, family members and even the fireman that were at the scene say, the girls are lucky they came out with a few injuries or God made a miracle with the girls and it's so true. When you know how the accident occurred and how Leonor flew out the windshield from the back passenger seat, you would also agree that God did make a miracle. I have felt so grateful because He did save them from what could of been worse.

 Fourth of July
This 4th of july was one of the few we've all spent in Arizona. I wasn't really looking forward to a hot and sunny day but to my surprise it was rainy and cloudy, yay! We all missed seeing the fireworks from the beach but at the end of the day all that matters to me is being with family!

lol, His eyes make me laugh!

Now he got it right!

We celebrated Mar's birthday!
Of course, he wanted to be part of the picture with his Mommy.

And we ended the day watching the fireworks and with sparklers!

I hope you all had a great 4th of July.
